A-U-B-U-R-N

The Iron Bowl is over and the Auburn Tigers have taken the title for the year. Glory, Glory to ole Auburn A-U-B-U-R-N! So I went to my ghetto aunt's house to watch the game with my Dad's side of the family. A totally different breed from my mother's side. We were in a small apartment and 20 deep in the living room part sitting n e where you could find a seat. Everyone in the room has about 5 football boards to their hands checking each quarter to see if they had won money. My dad won a nice piece on two of his boards and some other people won a few bills but not enough to really do n e thing with. One lady won 50.00 and she said she was going to get her car tag with that. Then her drunk husband says wait a minute, wait a minute I already gave you money for that tag!! She said you did but I went to the grocery store early one morning and spent that money so I had to hustle that money up another way now. He said look you done told on yourself because you were supposed to have been bought that tag. Then me and my dad had everyone all upset because our team won and they didn't want to hear us yelling and screaming. It was kool though. It's always nice to hang around drunk older people listening to the blues every once in a while.
Later that night I had a high school crush come over that I had not seen in years come to visit me. He had heard from some fellow class mates how much I had changed since the last time I saw me so I guess he had to come and evaluate himself. I remember the first day he talked to me. I was a freshman and he was a senior and I thought I was the she-y-t because I was kickin it with him. He hasn't turned out so bad. Still the same person of course a lot more mature but still a sweetie! Of course I found out that he wanted to talk to me at one point but he claims that I never gave him the time of day. Well that's it for now...Until later....Have a good day!

WAAAAAAAR EAGLE HEY!

Ok...Time for the Iron Bowl. I work for a company where everyone either is an Auburn Fan (War Eagle) or an Alabama fan. We are having our tailgate party today and people are really emotional about this stuff. I see the President of the company, which is an Alabama fan and he says "Man Yall have corrupted the new girl already." The new girl referring to me. I am all decked out in my orange and blue reppin the Tigers proud. It is interesting to me that there are more Auburn fans here, all of my other surroudings are usually the complete opposite. Go Figure?? I will let you know the outcome of the party as it happens. Have a good day! P.S. I hope that food is good!!!

FREE FOOD

My company had a customer appreciation luncheon for their customers today. I am the only black female in the entire company and the other blacks are warehouse workers and its about 5 of them. Well to go on with the story, we have a black guy that owns a company and he's a really good customer. I expected to see his staff here today eating lunch. Well I saw a few of the guys but then I look up and a van load of black guys come out of no where. They are from another one of our customers but they never come and pick up stuff. Well I see the van leave those guys and I look up and the van comes back again with another van load of black guys. By this time I am embarrassed because there are a ton of blacks coming for FREE food, who we've never seen before and my co workers are laughing their butts off seeing this van haul all of these people like a shuttle service. Then all of the guys have the nerve to WINK ;) at me while I'm in line getting me a plate. Isn't that a crock of horse mess. Blacks...You can't tell ONE of them there is free food somewhere.

Almost Another Weekend.....

.....And I'm just posting from the last. I have so much to say and so little time so I will just cut it short.

Friday
I did nothing!!!!
I have a cousin that is a little confused about his sexual orientation and spent the night entertaining him because he hasn't been feeling very well. He was dehydrated and been at the doctor's office all day and wanted some company. I volunteered my Friday evening to watch Lifetime movies with him before I went and met "the married man" in an empty parking lot. It's not what you think....We just TALKED & LAUGHED! That was until my mom went to her boyfriend's house and he came over and we watched Love & Basketball and talked until almost morning.
Saturday
Again I did nothing!!!
I woke up very sleepy Saturday morning after getting an hour nap before talking my daughter to much anticipated dance class. When I returned from taking her to dance I hit the pillow as soon as I hit the door. My Mother was a BIG help because she took my daughter with her to the grocery store for about 2 hours. I'm thinking Great! I can get in a gooood power nap and get up and do my normal Saturday cleaning and continue on with my day relaxed and rested.
NOT
My dad decides he wants to come and visit me and he has a bootleg copy of the movie RAY! (Which by the way from the small part that I saw, is an excellent movie)
Now back to why I only saw half of the movie. My mom walks in the door and the Auburn/Georgia game was on. My Dad and I had everything worked out. We were watching Ray on one TV and the game was on the other. So we were taking turns going back and forth seeing the score and what was going on. (Yes I Watch FOOTBALL and I LOVE IT) It was working out for us until she came in the door and just turned off the DVD player on us and said this is the TV that I watch football on and both of ya'll know it. So instead of griping about it, I just let it go and I was surprised that my dad did to. So he promised to bring it back so that I could finish it. He couldn't just leave it because then his wife would know he had been over to our house and that wouldn't be a good thing.
Sunday
I went to church and it was my choir's Sunday to sing. We did a pretty good job this Sunday and we had a pretty nice crowd at church so I am sure the Lord was pleased with our service. After church I went and ate dinner with my cousins and godmother. I had a blast (ok that was lame) but I did have fun. One of my cousin's aunts works at the corporate office in Birmingham and they have unbelievable sales for those people. She had 3 HUGE boxes of clothing to just give away. All of the clothes were things that they are selling in the stores right now and I racked up. I don't have to buy n e sweaters or long sleeve shirts this season. They were all so cute.
So this concludes my edition of my boring weekend. Until next time you all Be Blessed and Be You! Luv Ya

Clarification Purposes...........

Thanks to a fellow Blogger!

I need to clarify something from my last posting. When I was talking about the conversation about my daughter being his girlfriend, I wasn't meaning that literally. What I meant by that was Kamil (my daughter) is really friendly and he likes her (because she is a friendly and cute little girl). He plays with her at the church and he calls her his little girlfriend FOR PLAY......

Bear With Me!!!

Hey Fellow Bloggers.....

Here I am at it again. I haven't had much time to update but here I go. I am still new to this so bear with me if I'm a little boring at first.

So this guy that goes to church me really likes me. He is in Birmingham every two weeks to visit his gorgeous daughter and parents. Well come to find out, he has liked me for a long time and I have had a crush him but because I knew he was older I didn't think he would talk me other than as acquaintances. He was in Birmingham for the Magic City Classic about two weeks ago and he gets my phone number from my cousin (whom I'm very close to) and he calls me. I look on the caller ID (man I love those things) and I don't recognize the number but I answer anyway. He asks to speak to me and asks me how I'm doing and how my day has gone. I talk to him about three minutes not knowing whom I'm conversing with. He sounded good and I figured I knew him from somewhere because he has my number and he specifically asked for me. I continue on and I say, "Who is this?" He says, "You have a girlfriend of mine." I ask him, "Who might that be?" He says, "My girlfriend, you know her very well." I said, "Well I don't know exactly who you are referring to so I think that you better just go ahead and tell me who you are." He says, "Your daughter is my girlfriend." After that hint and about 2 more hints I finally figure out that its the guy I have had a crush on for years and of course wondering to myself how in the hell did he get my number. He went on to tell me that he went to the church to pay his tithes because he wouldn't be able to make it to the church on Sunday and he thought that he would look in the church directory to get my number, but because my cousin was there he got my number from her on the sly. He is a really kool guy, I love conversing with him but there is one thing that hinders our relationship to go any further. HE'S MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
